Your Role

You will own the first step of every client onboarding: understanding the peculiarities of the client' s data and bringing it into our ingestion framework cleanly, reliably, and with the attention to detail this work demands. Alongside this, you will run data analysis and performance checks that add value across the company — supporting data science with feature and quality signals, commercial with client-performance views, engineering with operational insight — and contribute to the automations and frameworks that make all of this faster over time. You join the data engineering team, collaborate closely with data science, and grow under direct mentorship from the engineers who built the tools you will use every day.


What You Will Do

  • Map new client data into our internal schema — reading files and APIs, configuring our ingestion framework (YAML + Python), resolving schema, timezone, DST, unit, and completeness issues that come with real-world data
  • Assist Client Operations in technical onboardings and evaluate technical features of client data when required
  • Investigate data anomalies and reconcile what lands in our warehouse against what the client sent — this work is detail-heavy by nature and we take that seriously
  • Run ad-hoc data analysis and performance checks that create value for data science, commercial, product, and engineering
  • Contribute to the frameworks and automations that power our data workflows — spotting repeated patterns, proposing improvements, writing reusable configurations under mentorship


Must-have Skills
  • 2 years of professional experience in a data or software role
  • Strong Python — confident writing, reading, and debugging code; familiarity with pandas and visualisation tools like plotly
  • Comfortable working with APIs — authentication, pagination, parsing responses
  • Strong attention to detail — forecasting quality depends on the precision of the data we ingest, and small mistakes compound downstream
  • Genuine motivation for data analysis, data science, and engineering — our stack will stretch you, and we hire for that appetite
  • Based in Estonia (Tallinn preferred, hybrid)
  • Professional English (written and spoken)



Bonus Points 
  • SQL — any dialect
  • Cloud platform experience (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
  • Exposure to configuration-driven tools (YAML, Pydantic, OmegaConf, Hydra)
  • Git and code review workflows
  • Any exposure to Spark, Delta Lake, Databricks, Airflow, or Kubernetes
  • Energy sector experience (renewables, power markets, weather data)
