Renewcast S.r.l. (hereinafter also the “Data Controller”) issues the following information to the data subject, the person to whom the personal data refers, pursuant to art. 13 EU Regulation no. 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 (hereafter GDPR), concerning the protection of personal data. This information is intended to describe the characteristics of the processing carried out in relation to the personal data provided by the data subjects and the measures taken in order to protect their rights.

This information is released on the Renewcast (https://renewcast.com/ hereinafter the Site), in the dedicated section ‘cookie policy’.

Regulatory framework and cookie management

In compliance with the legislation on the protection of personal data (Reg. EU 679/2016, Legislative Decree No. 196 of June 30, 2003, as amended by Legislative Decree 101/18, hereinafter "Code".) and with reference to the Provision of the Guarantor Authority of Identification of the simplified procedures for the information and acquisition of consent for the use of cookies - May 8, 2014 (Published in the Official Gazette no. 126 of June 3, 2014) and the Guidelines issued by the Guarantor Authority of June 10, 2021, the effectiveness of which takes effect six months after their publication in the Official Gazette No. 163 of July 9, 2021 you can change or revoke at any time your consent to cookies directly from this page through the links below "Changes to consent" and "Withdraw consent".

In any case, the User can disable/delete cookies directly from his/her browser by following the procedure provided in the section "How to disable/delete cookies via browser configuration".

The Data Controller will keep appropriate track of the User's consent(s) through a special technical cookie, considered by the Privacy Guarantor a "not particularly invasive" tool. The User may deny his/her consent and/or change his/her options regarding the use of cookies by this Site at any time, as provided in this policy.

Withdrawal of consent - Cookie deactivation – cancellation

Consent given to install cookies can always be revoked, for all or only some of them. Revocation of consent has the effect of allowing the Data Controller to handle the request by deactivating cookies. The deactivation of cookies by the Data Controller concerns the relationship between User and Data Controller but does not also involve the uninstallation of the cookies installed in the User's browser.

To delete installed cookies altogether, the User must therefore proceed independently from his browser, following the instructions given in the section below "How to disable/delete cookies via browser configuration".

What are cookies?

Cookies are little text files that the sites visited send to the user’s computer (usually their browser), where they are stored to be retransmitted to the same sites at the user’s next visit.
A cookie cannot retrieve any other data from the user's hard drive or transmit computer viruses or acquire email addresses. Each cookie is unique to the user's web browser. Some of the functions of cookies can be delegated to other technologies. In this document, the term 'cookie' refers to both cookies, proper, and all similar technologies.

Types of cookies

Cookies can be first or third party, where "first party" means cookies that report the website as a domain, while "third party" means cookies that relate to external domains.

Third party cookies are necessarily installed by an external party, always defined as "third party", not managed by the site. These subjects may possibly also install first-party cookies, saving their cookies on the site domain.

Nature of cookies

Regarding the nature of cookies, there are different types:

Technical cookies

Technical cookies are those used for the sole purpose of "carrying out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network, or to the extent strictly necessary for the provider of an information society service explicitly requested by the subscriber or user of provide this service".

They are not used for other purposes and are normally installed directly by the website owner or operator. They can be divided into:

  • - analytical cookies, similar to technical cookies if used directly by the website manager to collect information, in aggregate form, on the number of users and how they visit the site, in order to improve the performance of the website;
  • - functionality cookies, which allow the user to browse according to a series of selected criteria (for example, the language) in order to improve the service provided. For the installation of these cookies, the prior consent of the users is not required (more information in the paragraph on managing cookies below).

Profiling cookies

Profiling cookies are designed to create user profiles and are used in order to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the user while surfing the net.

These technologies do not collect users' names, email addresses, telephone numbers, addresses.

The consent of the interested party is required for the use of profiling cookies. According to the provision (more information in the paragraph on Managing cookies below) the user can authorize or deny consent to the installation of cookies through the options provided in the "Cookie management" section.

In the case of third-party cookies, the website does not have direct control of the individual cookies and cannot control them (it cannot install them directly or delete them). You can still manage these cookies through your browser settings (follow the instructions below), or the sites listed in the "Cookie management" section.

Rights related to your Data

In accordance with applicable legislation, you have the following rights.

The right to erasure - You have the right to obtain the erasure of your personal data stored with us if the purposes of data processing no longer exist and unless their processing remains necessary to comply with a legal obligation or legitimate interest.

The right to object - You have the right to object the processing of your data and ask the Data Controller to discontinue a certain type of data processing.

The right to restrict processing - You have the right to obtain the restriction of the processing of your personal data.

The right to data portability - You have the right to receive the Data concerning you and that you supplied to Data Controller in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and to send them to another data controller.

To exercise each of the aforementioned rights, the interested party may send an e-mail or write to the following address specifying the request and providing the Data Controller with the information necessary to correctly identify the sender (also attaching a copy of the identity document) at the following addresses:

Renewcast will reply within a month. If for some reason the Data Controller is unable to respond, it will provide a detailed explanation as to why it cannot satisfy the request.

How to disable / delete cookies by configuring the browser:

Chrome

  1. Run the Chrome browser.
  2. Click on the menu in the browser toolbar next to the URL entry window for navigation.
  3. Select Options.
  4. Select the Privacy panel
  5. Click Show Advanced Settings.
  6. In the “Privacy” section, click on the “Content settings” button.
  7. In the “Cookies” section you can change the following cookie settings:
  8. Allow saving data locally.
    • Change the local data only until the browser is closed.
    • Prevent sites from setting cookies.
    • Block third-party cookies and site data.
    • Manage exceptions for some websites.
    • Delete one or all cookies.

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Run the Mozilla Firefox browser.
  2. Click on the menu in the browser toolbar next to the URL entry window for navigation.
  3. Select Options.
  4. Select the Privacy panel.
  5. Click Show Advanced Settings.
  6. In the “Privacy” section, click on the “Content settings” button.
  7. In the “Tracking” section you can change the following cookie settings:
    • Ask the sites not to make any tracking.
    • Notify sites of availability to be tracked.
    • Do not communicate any preference regarding the tracking of personal data.
  8. From the “Search History” setting:
    • After enabling the “Use custom settings”, select to accept third-party cookies (always, from the most visited sites, or never) and to store them for a specified period (until they expire, when Firefox is closed or ask every time it is used).
    • Remove the individual cookies stored.

Internet Explorer

  1. Run the Internet Explorer browser.
  2. Click the Tools button and choose Internet Options.
  3. Click on the Privacy tab and, in the Settings section, change the slider according to the desired action for cookies:
    • Block all cookies.
    • Allow all cookies.
    • To select the sites from which to obtain cookies: move the cursor to an intermediate position so as not to block or allow all cookies, then press on Sites, enter a website in the Website Address box and then press on Block or Allow.

  1. Run the Safari browser

  3. In the Block Cookies section and specify how Safari must accept cookies from Internet sites;
  4. To view which sites, have stored cookies, click on Details.

Safari iOS (mobile devices)

  1. Run the iOS Safari Browser.
  2. Tap on Settings and then Safari 3. Tap on Block Cookies and choose from the various options: “Never”, “Third party and advertisers” or “Always”.
  3. To delete all cookies stored by Safari, tap on Settings, then on Safari and finally on Delete Cookies and data.

  1. Run the Opera browser

  3. Select one of the following options:
    • Accept all cookies
    • Accept cookies only from the site you visit: third-party cookies and those that are sent from a domain other than the one you are visiting will be rejected
